Former ISI chief General Hameed gul died

ISLAMABAD(Sunday, August 16, 2015): Former Inter Services Intelligence (ISI) boss, Lieutenant General (Retd) Hameed Gul kicked the bucket of cerebrum drain on Saturday at 79 years old, as per the family sources.

Former ISI chief Hamid Gul Died by brain hemorrhage in Murree

Prior in the day, Lt Gen Hameed Gul was moved from a clinic in Murree to Combined Military Hospital (CMH) Rawalpindi after his wellbeing condition exacerbated.

Later, the specialists at CMH professed him dead, expressing the reason for death as mind drain. Gul was elevated to Brigadier in 1978 and relentlessly rose to be the Martial Law Administrator of Bahawalpur and after that the Commander of the first Armored Division, Multan in 1982.

He then served as the chief general of ISI between March 29, 1987 and October 4, 1989.

He resigned from administration in 1992.

Communicating distress over Lt Gen Gul’s demise, Army boss General Raheel Sharif communicated distress and extended his sympathies to the dispossessed gang.

PM Nawaz Sharif has communicated his sincere sympathies over the downfall of Lt.Gen.(retd.) Gul. He sympathized with the deprived family to endure this loss.Lt Gen (Retd) Hameed Gul had been experiencing hypertension for quite a while. Conceived on twentieth November 1936, Lt Gen (Retd) Hameed Gul served as Director General ISI from 1987 to 1989.
